To access opinions and orders for free, click on the link above and log into PACER by entering a login and password. Click on "Reports" on the blue bar at the top of the screen. Then click on "Written Opinions." Choose among the search criteria provided, including case number, party name, type of case or cause of action, filing date of order or opinion, court location. Click on "Run Report" button. When report is displayed, click on the number in "Doc. #" column to read a particular opinion or order. There is an 8-cent-a-page fee for access to docket sheets, reports and other court papers. Pricing information is provided before documents are displayed. PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) is a service of the federal courts and allows the public to view court records.
